FAMILY DANCES

Ah yes, the Father Daughter and the Mother son Dances. These are a beloved part of many weddings, where parents and their children get to share a special moment and dance together. Not all couples choose to include these dances in their wedding, some may opt for only one or the other, or may have additional dances due to unique family structures. Ultimately, it's up to the specific needs and preferences of your families.

I recommend scheduling these dances for after dinner. They redirect everyone’s attention back to the dance floor.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

  1.  These songs are always abbreviated
It’s extremely unusual for a song to be longer than 90 seconds. You should expect to hear one chorus and then the crowd cheering for you. You don’t need to pick songs based on length.

  2. I can do fun surprise mixes if you want to jazz it up.
Sometimes for example, a bride and her dad want to surprise everybody with some stanky leg.
